Established Tsukiyama Electric Works Co., Ltd. in Yamatotakada City, Nara Prefecture as the factory for manufacturing small molded case circuit breakers

Initial delivery of a monitoring system for the Kinkasan Maru, the first automated ship built by Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding

Established Terasaki Electric Co., (Far East) Pte. Ltd. in Singapore as the location for the manufacture and sales of marine systems
